Baseball Recap: Los Lunas Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Los Lunas had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Albuquerque on Friday. The Tigers blew past the Bulldogs 12-5. With that win, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Kaiden Reese was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, JJ Utash was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Allen Galaviz was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI.

Los Lunas was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Los Lunas, bringing their record up to 12-7. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.8 runs. As for Albuquerque, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Los Lunas will head out to take on La Cueva at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Albuquerque, they will venture away from home to challenge Atrisco Heritage Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
