Softball Recap: Choctawhatchee Indians vs. Pensacola Tigers
Choctawhatchee can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They never let the Pensacola Tigers get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 22-2 back in March.

AnnMarie Gilbert made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Juliet Blowers and Gabbi Barnowsky did most of the damage at the plate: Blowers went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and four RBI, while Barnowsky scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs Barnowsky has posted since back in April of 2024. Angel Wilson was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Choctawhatchee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .619. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Choctawhatchee's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Pensacola, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
