Soccer Recap: Rialto Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Rialto has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rancho Cucamonga Cougars on Friday. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Rialto's loss dropped their record down to 7-3-1. As for Rancho Cucamonga, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1-1.

Rialto will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fontana at 4:00 p.m. on January 10th. Fontana will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Rialto surely won't give up without a fight. As for Rancho Cucamonga, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Granite Hills on the 27th.
