Basketball Game Preview: Jefferson Yellowjackets vs. Bishop Heelan Catholic Crusaders

Jefferson is 2-8 against Bishop Heelan Catholic since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Jefferson Yellowjackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bishop Heelan Catholic Crusaders at 4:00 p.m.

Jefferson is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 78-32 loss at the hands of Lincoln. The Yellowjackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-19.

Meanwhile, Bishop Heelan Catholic got the win against Sioux City West on Tuesday by a conclusive 75-50. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Crusaders just coasted through the last quarter.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Bishop Heelan Catholic, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-11.

Jefferson was dealt a bruising 71-16 loss at the hands of Bishop Heelan Catholic when the teams last played back in January. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Jefferson was down 41-6.
