Basketball Recap: Notre Dame Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Southwestern two weeks ago, Notre Dame Academy came back down to earth. The Notre Dame Academy Pandas fell 68-55 to the Dixie Heights Colonels on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Pandas came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Colonels are ranked 30th).

Notre Dame Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Dixie Heights, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.

Notre Dame Academy will take on Simon Kenton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Dixie Heights, they will square off against Ryle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
