Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Amanda Pardue and Blake Coors Lead Resurrection Christian to Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Resurrection Christian had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Village Mountaineers. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Resurrection Christian was led to victory by Blake Coors and Amanda Pardue. Coors had 18 digs and three assists, while Pardue had seven digs and four aces. That's the most aces Pardue has posted since back in October.

They weren't the only good servers: Resurrection Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

When it comes to explaining why Village lost, don't look at Dylan Teague. Despite the final result, she had 23 digs and one assist. Teague has been hot recently, having posted 14 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Resurrection Christian's win bumped their record up to 26-3. As for Village, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-9.

Resurrection Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Eaton on the 15th. Village does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
