Basketball Game Preview: Shiprock Chieftains vs. Aztec Tigers

The Shiprock Chieftains will face off against the Aztec Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Shiprock will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Bloomfield, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Shiprock managed a 32-26 victory over Bloomfield on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Aztec hadn't done well against Miyamura recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Aztec claimed a resounding 59-18 win over Miyamura. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Shiprock has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-11 record this season. As for Aztec, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
