Soccer Game Preview: Brawley vs. Calexico

Brawley hasn't had much luck against Calexico recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Brawley Wildcats will challenge the Calexico Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Brawley's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Friday, Brawley narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Holtville 2-1. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 344th, while the Vikings are ranked 882nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Calexico kept a clean sheet against Central on Friday. They blew past the Spartans 3-0. The result kept the Bulldogs happy, as they haven't lost a game since January 9th.

Calexico has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those ten contests. As for Brawley, their win bumped their record up to 12-6-2.
