Rock Bridge faced Moberly in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bruins put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 11-1 win. Winning may never get old, but the Bruins sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Rock Bridge pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Moberly, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-2.

Rock Bridge didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-0 victory against Macon on the 5th. As for Moberly, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mexico at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Spartans 2.2, the Bulldogs 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
