After flying high against Animo Leadership on Saturday, Bishop Montgomery came back down to earth. The Knights fell just short of the Valley Christian Defenders by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Bishop Montgomery got a good showing from Dane Harris, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Harris has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Matthew Orozco made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Logan Hudson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Bishop Montgomery's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Valley Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-10.

As of now, neither Bishop Montgomery nor the Defenders have any future games scheduled.
