Basketball Game Preview: Chicago University Maroons vs. Northridge Knights

The Chicago University Maroons are taking a road trip to take on the Northridge Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Chicago University lost 63-39 to Chicago Hope Academy on Monday.

Meanwhile, Northridge put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Lutheran 62-42. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Crusaders are ranked 371st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northridge's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for Chicago University, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Chicago University was dealt a bruising 56-17 loss at the hands of Northridge when the teams last played back in January. Can Chicago University avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
