It's playoff time, and Warren Central had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Grenada Chargers on Monday, sneaking past 5-3. The win was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Maddox Lynch made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed 5.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in eight consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Trace Hood was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

Warren Central lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Warren Central pushed their record up to 20-9 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Grenada, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-12-1.

Warren Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Chargers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
