Volleyball Recap: Glynn Academy Comes Up Short

Glynn Academy kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 2-0 to the Milton Eagles.

Glynn Academy's offense was headlined by Natalie Koncul and Riley Ferrell, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Laura Beth Baldridge and her 17 assists. Koncul was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Milton was led to victory by Shelby Matteson and Aubrey White. Matteson had four digs and three aces, while White had seven digs and two assists. Those three aces gave Matteson a new career-high.

Milton has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Glynn Academy has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Creekview on the 8th. As for Milton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against West Forsyth on the 9th.
