Football Recap: Scotland Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Scotland entered their game against Cape Fear on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Fighting Scots took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Colts. Having soared to a lofty 48 points in the game before, the Fighting Scots couldn't push the score so high this time.

Despite the loss, Scotland saw an underclassman step up: freshman Mike McLean rushed for 122 yards and one touchdown.

Tai Phillips was his usual excellent self, rushing for 138 yards and one TD for Cape Fear. Phillips' rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards.

Scotland's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Cape Fear, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

As of now, neither Scotland nor the Colts have any future games scheduled.
