Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Poteet). They blew past the Cotulla Cowboys 16-3 on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Poteet pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Cotulla, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Poteet will take on John Paul II in a tournament on Thursday. As for Cotulla, they will be playing in front of their home fans against La Pryor at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
