Soccer Game Preview: Lake Buena Vista vs. Winter Park

The Lake Buena Vista Vipers are taking a road trip to take on the Winter Park Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Lake Buena Vista fell victim to Freedom and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Patriots, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Vipers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 449th, while the Patriots are ranked 176th).

Meanwhile, Winter Park kept a clean sheet against Dr. Phillips on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

Winter Park is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those six contests. As for Lake Buena Vista, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-11-1.
