Basketball Recap: Theodore Beats Blount for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Theodore won the last time they faced Blount, and Parklyn Floyd did her part to make sure it happened again. The Theodore Bobcats pulled ahead with a 41-40 photo finish over the Blount Leopards on Tuesday thanks in part to Floyd, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 24 games she's played dating back to last season.

Several Leopards players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Heaven Watlington, who went 8 of 19 on her way to 18 points. Amayah Bracy was another key player, putting up 12 points.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Theodore, bringing their record for this year to 12-3. As for Blount, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.

Theodore will face off against Saraland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Blount, they will take on Murphy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
