Baseball Recap: Nettleton Takes a Loss

Nettleton lost against Greene County Tech back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Nettleton Raiders fell just short of the Greene County Tech Golden Eagles by a score of 2-1.

Nettleton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ford Raffo, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Nettleton now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Greene County Tech, they pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Nettleton will host Jonesboro at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Greene County Tech, they will challenge Avonworth at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Greene County Tech's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Avonworth's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
