Softball Recap: Pendleton County Comes Up Short

Pendleton County lost to Dixie Heights back in April of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Colonels by a score of 2-1.

Pendleton County now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Dixie Heights, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 12-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pendleton County will welcome Nicholas County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bluejackets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.83 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Dixie Heights, they will square off against Grant County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
