Football Recap: Wellesley Takes a Loss

If Wellesley was feeling good fresh off their 34-0 takedown of Framingham last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders fell 31-23 to the Andover Golden Warriors on Friday.

Kyle Olson was a one-man wrecking crew For Andover. as he rushed for 89 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries, and also threw for 199 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes. Those 89 rushing yards gave Olson a new career-high. Michael Crowley also helped out with an impressive 90 receiving yards.

Wellesley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Wellesley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 28-21 loss against Milford on the 19th. As for Andover, they have also already played their next game, a 41-3 victory against Chelmsford on the 19th.
