Monroe-Woodbury is 8-2 against Pine Bush since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Crusaders will look to defend their home field against the Bushmen at 11:00 a.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Monroe-Woodbury 1.8, Pine Bush 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Pine Bush will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Monroe-Woodbury extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Crusaders put the hurt on Kingston with a sharp 13-1 victory.

Monroe-Woodbury got a massive performance out of Gabby Schaeffer, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and three runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Callie Exarchakis, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Monroe-Woodbury was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .344 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Pine Bush didn't have quite enough to beat Shaker on Tuesday and fell 3-2.

Pine Bush's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Monroe-Woodbury, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Monroe-Woodbury came out on top in a nail-biter against Pine Bush when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Will the Crusaders repeat their success, or do the Bushmen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
