Mankato East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 81-59 to the Austin Packers. One positive for the Cougars, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Mankato East's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Austin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.

Mankato East will face off against Jordan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Jordan knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Mankato East likes a good challenge. Austin has already played their next contest, a 76-62 victory against Fridley on the 18th.
