North Posey extended their home winning streak to eight games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Mallory Luigs. The Vikings walked away with a 3-1 win over the Evansville Mater Dei Wildcats on Thursday with plenty of help from Luigs, who had 15 digs. She has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 20 times she's played.

North Posey walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-19, 21-25, 25-20.

Despite the loss, Evansville Mater Dei still got an impressive performance from Emily Kiesel, who had nine digs and four assists.

North Posey's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Evansville Mater Dei, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

North Posey didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Barr-Reeve on the 23rd. As for Evansville Mater Dei, they have also already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Gibson Southern on the 23rd.
