The Grenada Chargers made easy work of the Yazoo County Panthers  on Tuesday and carried off  a  9-1 win. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six  runs or more this season.
 Mary Taylour Wilbourn was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. That  run was  her first of the season.
 Wilbourn wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Lillian Mattox, who  went 1-for-3 with two  RBI.
Grenada is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Yazoo County,  with the  loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-5.
 Coming up, Grenada will take on Center Hill at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Yazoo County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
