Volleyball Recap: Lutheran-Northeast's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Lutheran-Northeast lost to Centennial back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Broncos 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since September 14, 2024.

Lutheran-Northeast had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-23, 25-20.

Lexie Dinkel paced Lutheran-Northeast's offense, picking up nine kills. Dinkel got some help from Olivia Eckert and her 11 assists. Eckert and Dinkel didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Despite the loss, Centennial still got an impressive performance from Meg Hoffschneider, who had 17 digs.

Lutheran-Northeast wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Bishop Neumann on the 30th. As for Centennial, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Wilber-Clatonia on the 30th.
