Basketball Recap: Boyd-Buchanan Takes a Loss

Boyd-Buchanan easily dispatched Red Bank last Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Boyd-Buchanan Buccaneers fell just short of the Bethlehem Christian Academy Knights by a score of 44-42 on Friday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Buccaneers came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 58th in Tennessee, while the Knights are ranked 241st in Georgia).

Bethlehem Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Malachi Mays out in front who posted 12 points. Another player making a difference was Adian Grady, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 10 points and five assists.

Boyd-Buchanan's loss dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Bethlehem Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.

Boyd-Buchanan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-41 win against Oakland on the 28th.
