Volleyball Game Preview: Deerfield Warriors vs. Evanston Wildkits + How To Watch

Deerfield is on an eight-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Evanston a seven-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Deerfield Warriors will be playing at home against the Evanston Wildkits at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Monday, Deerfield didn't have quite enough to beat Prospect and fell 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Deerfield sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 15-25, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Evanston came up short against New Trier on Tuesday and fell 2-0.

Evanston was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-15.

Evanston's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Deerfield, their loss dropped their record down to 11-15.

Deerfield beat Evanston 2-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Wildkits have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
