Volleyball Game Preview: University Phoenix vs. American History Eagles

After both having extra time off, the University Phoenix and the American History Eagles will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

University is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They fell 2-0 to Arts on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Phoenix in their meetings with the Jaguars: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, American History unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Hillside by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.
