Basketball Game Preview: Capitan Tigers vs. Cloudcroft Bears

The Capitan Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Cloudcroft Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Capitan came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They were dealt a 65-34 loss at the hands of Mesilla Valley Christian School. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-14.

Meanwhile, Cloudcroft came up short against Lordsburg on Thursday and fell 61-51. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cloudcroft's defeat dropped their record down to 11-13. As for Capitan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-21 record this season.

Capitan might still be hurting after the 71-47 loss they got from Cloudcroft in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Capitan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
