Basketball Recap: Moffat County Drops Highest Score of Season Against Coal Ridge

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Moffat County). They came out on top against the Coal Ridge Titans by a score of 57-47 on Saturday. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won five in a row.

Caitlyn Adams had an outrageously good game as she went 8-for-14 en route to 26 points and eight boards. Those 26 points gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mena Tucker, who posted six points along with 14 rebounds and six assists.

Moffat County was working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. They are 11-2 when they've passed the ball that well.

Despite the loss, Coal Ridge still got an impressive performance from Brilee Jensen, who had 12 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Andrea Jacquez, who earned six points and six rebounds.

Moffat County pushed their record up to 13-9 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Coal Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Moffat County will face off against Aspen at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Coal Ridge, they will take on Delta at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Delta will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Coal Ridge surely won't give up without a fight.
