Basketball Game Preview: West Haven Blue Devils vs. Shelton Gaels

West Haven and Shelton are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2015, but not for long. The West Haven Blue Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Shelton Gaels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Haven will be strutting in after a victory while Shelton will be coming in after a defeat.

On Saturday, it was close, but West Haven sidestepped Newtown for a 46-44 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Meanwhile, Shelton was beaten by Sheehan 65-23 on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Gaels in their matchups with the Titans: they've now lost eight in a row.

Shelton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for West Haven, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Everything came up roses for West Haven against Shelton in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 57-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Haven since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
