Soccer Recap: Knoch Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Avonworth, Knoch was happy to have turned things around on Sunday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers a 3-0 shutout.

Knoch's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for Mercyhurst Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Knoch will venture away from home to challenge Shaler Area at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Shaler Area's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Mercyhurst Prep, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Eisenhower at 6:00 p.m.
