Bothell had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Eastlake Wolves on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. The win was nothing new for the Cougars as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Blake Skinner was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other pitching news, Carson Herrick looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

Skinner wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Teyton Hardeman, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Bothell pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Eastlake, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-8.

As of now, neither Bothell nor the Wolves have any future games scheduled.
