Softball Game Preview: Tonopah Valley Phoenix vs. Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes

The Tonopah Valley Phoenix will face off against the Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Tonopah Valley and five for Arizona Lutheran Academy.

Tonopah Valley fell victim to Yuma Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Shamrocks, falling 11-0.

Tonopah Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Green, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Arizona Lutheran Academy also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 13-0 to Santa Cruz Valley on Thursday.

Arizona Lutheran Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Tonopah Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Tonopah Valley might still be hurting after the 17-3 defeat they got from Arizona Lutheran Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Phoenix avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
