Soccer Recap: Monroe Takes a Loss

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to the Peach County Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Golden Tornadoes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 409th, while the Trojans are ranked 138th).

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Peach County, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe will take on Bainbridge at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bainbridge will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Monroe surely won't give up without a fight. As for Peach County, they will venture away from home to take on Dougherty at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
