Baseball Game Preview: Powhatan Indians vs. Prince George Royals

Powhatan lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Clover Hill, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's game. The Indians were the clear victors by a 13-4 margin over the Cavaliers on Thursday. The Indians' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Prince George, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over Colonial Heights on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Jack Mozucha, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Cash Warren was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Powhatan has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
