Softball Recap: Ridgefield Tigers vs. Trumbull Eagles
Ridgefield fell victim to Trumbull and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 12-0 to the Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since April 23rd.
Ridgefield saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Piper Keane, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Maddie Muncy also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Ridgefield's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-7. As for Trumbull, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
