Southeastern was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Paint Valley on Monday. The Panthers never let the Bearcats get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.
Not much got past Kylie Williams, who gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Paint Valley off the board. Williams has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Jade Turner was incredible, going 3-for-4 with seven stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those seven stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ally Fisher, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Southeastern's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Paint Valley, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Southeastern beat the Bearcats by a score of 11-0 later that day.
