Basketball Recap: Ironwood Ridge Skates Past Flowing Wells with Ease

Ironwood Ridge won the last time they faced Flowing Wells and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks really took it to the Flowing Wells Caballeros for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-41 win. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-13.

Carter Brown was his usual excellent self, putting up 11 points and four steals. Brown is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Anderson, who posted 12 points.

Ironwood Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.4 points per game. As for Flowing Wells, they dropped their record down to 1-10 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Ironwood Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-51 defeat against Palo Verde on the 19th. As for Flowing Wells, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 67-40 victory against Santa Rita on the 19th.
