Baseball Game Preview: Sullivan West Bulldogs vs. Chester Hambletonians

Sullivan West is 0-10 against Chester since May of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. The Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Hambletonians at 7:00 p.m. Sullivan West is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Last Monday, Sullivan West beat Eldred 10-5.

Chester had taken Port Jervis down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Hambletonians fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Hambletonians couldn't push the score so high this time.

Sullivan West's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Chester, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-5 record.

Sullivan West suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Chester when the teams last played back in April. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
