Basketball Recap: Central Cabarrus Comes Up Short

Central Cabarrus pushed their score to 44 the last time they played Northwest Cabarrus, but on Friday they couldn't quite do it again. The Central Cabarrus Vikings took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northwest Cabarrus Trojans. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Central Cabarrus' defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Northwest Cabarrus, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Cabarrus will face off against Carson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Cabarrus is facing Carson at the right time seeing as Carson is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they will take on East Rowan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
