Softball Recap: Ridge Community Comes Up Short

Ridge Community was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 18-1 to the Davenport Broncos. If the Bolts were looking for revenge after losing 14-3 to the Broncos when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Timmesha Bodison was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Ridge Community's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Davenport, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridge Community will take on Haines City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Davenport, they will face off against Mulberry at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Davenport is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
