Baseball Recap: Ygnacio Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Valley Christian on Tuesday, Ygnacio Valley came back down to earth. The Wolves fell 7-4 to the Vallejo Redhawks on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Wolves in their meetings with the Redhawks: they've now lost four in a row.

Ygnacio Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for Vallejo, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6.

Looking ahead, Ygnacio Valley will square off against Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.87 runs per game on average), something the Wolves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Vallejo, they will face off against Hercules at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Redhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
