Volleyball Recap: Webb City Has No Trouble Against Springfield Catholic

Webb City barely beat Springfield Catholic the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cardinals blew past the Fighting Irish 3-0 on Wednesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Cardinals as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Webb City not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Springfield Catholic between 14 and 16 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-15, 25-16.

Webb City's offense was headlined by Adalyn Maxwell and Jaylee Van Becelaere, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Avery Pogue and her 14 assists. Allison Collard controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Webb City's victory bumped their record up to 22-10. As for Springfield Catholic, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-29.

As of now, neither Webb City nor the Fighting Irish have any future games scheduled.
