Summit waltzed into their game on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 30-25 W against the Jurupa Hills Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the SkyHawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jurupa Hills lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jaylene Murillo, who picked up 169 receiving yards. She was no stranger to the big play, connecting on a big catch that went for 65 yards. Emelie Castrejon also helped out by tossing the rock for 357 yards.

Summit's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Jurupa Hills, they moved to 6-3 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Summit will face off against rival Arroyo Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the SkyHawks 10.5, the Hawks 13.2) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Jurupa Hills is set to take on their familiar foe San Gorgonio at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
