The Daniel Lions will venture away from home to  take on the Greer Yellow Jackets  at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Daniel is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
Daniel is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have   all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Blue Ridge 66-21. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 43  points or more this season.

It was another big night for  Jace Grass, who threw for 361 yards and six  touchdowns. Thanks to that big game,  he is now up to 28  passing touchdowns on the season.  Trey Wimbley was in the mix  too, providing Daniel with two scores.
 Daniel didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Malik Maddox and  Kevin Jackson. Daniel got some further help from  Dexter Johnson: he picked up  a  sack, forced one fumble,  and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 Meanwhile,  Greer unfortunately witnessed the end of their  four-game winning streak last Friday. They were  outmatched by Seneca and fell  42-13. Having soared to a lofty 61  points in the game before, the Yellow Jackets couldn't push the score so high this time.
 Greer now  has a losing record of 4-5. As for Daniel, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
Friday's   contest might be decided on the ground. Daniel has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 153.1  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Greer struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 228.6  rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's   matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
 Everything came up roses for Daniel against Greer when the teams last played  back in November of 2024, as the  squad secured  a  48-21 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
