Volleyball Recap: Trinity Wolves vs. Weed Cougars
Trinity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell just short of the Weed Cougars by a score of 3-2. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Saturday.
Trinity took a 2-0 lead headed into the third set, but sadly they lost the next three. The final score came out to 11-25, 17-25, 25-17, 25-18, 15-4.
Even though they lost, Trinity kept the net locked down and finished the game with ten blocks. That's the most blocks they've posted since back in August.
Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 7-17-1. As for Weed, their win bumped their record up to 4-9.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Fall River the next time they take the court. Trinity will head out to face Fall River at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Weed will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
