Basketball Game Preview: Shawnee Golden Eagles vs. Western Warriors

The Shawnee Golden Eagles will square off against the Western Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Western is facing Shawnee at the wrong time: Shawnee suffered their first home loss of the season on Friday and they're likely out for redemption. They took a 58-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. The Golden Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Iroquois typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Western proved too difficult a challenge. They strolled past the Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 56-42. That 14 point margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

Western is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Shawnee, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-12.
