After a string of five wins, Carver High School of Engineering & Science's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell to Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech 80-76. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (65), Carver High School of Engineering & Science still had to take the loss.

Makaii Akridge had an outrageously good game for Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech as he went 17 for 25 on his way to 42 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Those 42 points gave Akridge a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarrell Little, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-4. As for Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-9.

Carver High School of Engineering & Science will venture away from home to take on Constitution at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
