Rolling Meadows came out on top against Hoffman Estates on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run sixth inning. The Mustangs took their match against the Hawks 10-6. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Luke Schneider made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.

In other batting news, Ryan Schneider and Josh Rappa did most of the damage at the plate: Ryan went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Rappa went 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Joe Brigham, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Rolling Meadows was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hoffman Estates only posted a batting average of .226.

Rolling Meadows' victory bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Hoffman Estates, they dropped their record down to 4-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Rolling Meadows will host Niles North at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hoffman Estates, they will venture away from home to challenge Schaumburg at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
